The aim of our 2 hour activity is a more in-depth introduction to kayaking in a stunning location, with family, friends or meeting new people who have a similar interest. You will be safe in the hands of the most highly skilled, experienced and well qualified kayaking guides in Sussex. You literally can’t get kayaking in Sussex like this anywhere else!

We’ll have time to go through paddling technique, turning and moving sideways efficiently as well as safety on the water… a mini work out, learning and fun all combined in one session.

At the same time, we’ll have time also to explore the river which is a haven for wildlife, teaming with dragonflies, butterflies and wild flowers. Immerse yourself in history an arrow shot from Bodiam Castle and following the path of the steam railway, you will often here its engine toot. You’ll start at the top of the river twisting and turning through the reed beds, moving with the dragonflies and damselflies, before the river opens up for ducks, swans and cranes!

  • Shoes you can get wet in – Trainers or wet suit boots are ideal – no sandals, crocs or open toed shoes – you must have solid footwear

  • Large Towel – Our changing rooms are boys and girls, but are communal so you may wish to bring a large towel

  • Swimming Kit – Arrive in your swimming kit to save time
