We are rightly proud of our residential facilities and have gained an enviable reputation for hosting adventure and outdoor education groups from schools and NCS, scouts and guides, to corporates and friends.

From the moment you arrive, you just know it’s going to be an awesome time!

Your tent will be waiting dressed with fairy lights and bunting, comfortable warm beds freshly made, and the kettle on for those all important cups of tea and hot chocolate!

Then the adventure begins…

Adventurous Times

Real Adventures | Stunning Locations

Our great activity packages can be mixed with our traditional outdoor education philosophies to create epic water and land activities that are unmatched on the South Coast.

We might keep going on about it, but you really can’t beat our location! Our main camp is on the Isle of Wight in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) on a hillside overlooking the sea on two sides and Tennyson Down on the other, and Brighstone Down on the other. The perfect combination of on-site activities and off-site adventures on the sea, on the land and in the woods.

Adventures, challenges and friendships that will stay with you for a lifetime!

Stunning Stoats

Glamping PLUS!

Our own private and secure Campsite is in an incredible location on the side of Tennyson Down above Freshwater Bay and Totland Bay.

The incredible glamping site has its own private showers and toilets on site. Bedding is included. A private recreation area is available throughout the visit.

You’ll enjoy evenings around the camp fire after a full on day exploring, learning or just enjoying all that West Wight has to offer! If your group wants some free time, that’s absolutely fine with us… but most of our guest groups come because of the amazing activity programmes we pull together – just for you!

All we ask is that you help us by recycling all your waste bits and bobs while you’re with us!

Luxury tents! Great food! Proper beds! But still camping!

Camp Cooking

More than just bangers and mash!

People like what they like, and we like to Buy Local.

We use locally sourced products and have home cooked food served in our unique giant tent (it’s a little bit like a Big Top!) and is the gathering point throughout your stay with us.

So what’s on the menu? Uummm… Pasta, fajitas, lasagne and chilli all feature as firm favourites, and there’s always plenty of fresh salads and different options for all kinds of dietary requirements (please tell us before your arrive!).

And did we mention the evening BBQs….

Visiting groups are encouraged to get involved in the sense of community by helping with food preparation, serving and clearing up. Strangely, young people do more in the kitchen and mess tent when staying here than they apparently do at home, so many parents and carers tell us!

Green Stuff

So, there are a  few founding principles here at Adventure Activities… one of them is to be kind to the environments where our centres are based.

Without the amazing places we use for our adventure activities, we couldn’t give such a great experience for our visitors.

Wherever possible we re-use, re-design and re-love what might seem like waste to other people but to us a bit of spare wood can be an archery target, be built into a trebuchet or be an essential component in our bushcraft activities!

We use VegWare compostable dinnerware with almost a zero CO2 footprint, made from recycled materials and in keeping with our ethos of sustainability and environmental respect.

You’ll often find #TeamAwesome doing a bit of a beach clean, volunteering at a local community event or simply looking at how we can reduce packaging waste on kit purchases.
